In the Pines Earrings
Brass textured pine cone earrings.
Materials: Brass, brass findings and french hook.
Named after a Nirvana song. Also the pine cone has long been a symbol of the pineal gland throughout history, seen in architecture and art. This gland in the brain is thought to be in the same horizontal plane as the third eye. When we use our third eye we keep whatever we see slightly out of focus. It is also thought be a center of healing.

Brass may tarnish over time, especially when exposed to sweat, stored against other metals or with time oxidization may occur. Some like the tarnished look, a black or a teal green. But you can shine your brass back to its original bright colour with a product called brasso like your grand mother used to clean her brass candle sticks found in the cleaning section of stores. This works well.
