The tree of life Necklace
A tree of life brass pendant necklace.
Last summer my brother, mother and I travelled Europe for two months. (My brother in his wheel chair) We met our relatives that were segmented from the family line at some point when our great grandfather moved over to Newfoundland from Scotland. Like trees who’s branches can be broken, our family tree was broken but it’s roots were still strong and intact and we came back together again. Why the branch was broken we don’t know for sure, but our roots are intact again.
Materials: Brass rolo Chain, with a wide space making necklaces adjustable in length, a lobster claw and brass findings.
Made by hand in Newfoundland
Overall Chain Length: 22”, 11” from nape to end.
Pendant Width: 1.5”
Pendant Length: 2.5”
Brass may tarnish over time, especially when exposed to sweat, stored against other metals or with time oxidization may occur. Some like the tarnished look, a black or a teal green. But you can shine your brass back to its original bright colour with a product called brasso like your grand mother used to clean her brass candle sticks found in the cleaning section of stores. This works well. Some have said ketchup but I have yet to try it.
Materials sourced from Montreal, Africa and Turkey.
